Paint, clear coat, body filler, primer, touch-up paint, or other painted surfaces may lift, peel, separate, crack, chip, or otherwise become damaged during film removal.

Some of these conditions may be completely hidden underneath the film and impossible for J9's Luxury Auto Detailing to identify before removal begins.

The likelihood of this occurring may be affected by factors including, but not limited to

  • Age of the film
  • Type and quality of the film or adhesive
  • Length of time the film has been installed
  • Condition of the paint at the time the film was originally installed
  • Previous repainting or bodywork
  • Aftermarket or non-factory paint
  • Poor paint adhesion
  • Failing or deteriorated clear coat
  • Existing chips, cracks, scratches, oxidation, or other defects
  • Improper preparation or installation performed previously
  • Environmental exposure, heat, UV exposure, chemicals, or contamination
  • Unknown prior repairs or vehicle history
